Introducing the TI-Nspire CX II

Posted 03/06/2019 by Ellen Fishpaw

It's a big day for Texas Instruments. Today, we introduced the all-new TI-Nspire CX II family of graphing calculators, bringing a 2 ½ times faster processor, an updated, new look and added math and coding features that will help bring STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subjects to life for students. Building on the popular TI-Nspire CX line of graphing calculators, the new TI-Nspire CX II and TI-Nspire CX II CAS give students more opportunities to visualize important, abstract concepts, not just in math class, but in science and computer programming courses.

"Students and teachers asked us to make their graphing calculator more responsive as they are using it increasingly to explore an array of complex, STEM concepts,"

Peter Balyta, Ph.D., president of TI Education Technology

“Students and teachers asked us to make their graphing calculator more responsive as they are using it increasingly to explore an array of complex, STEM concepts,” said Peter Balyta, Ph.D., president of TI Education Technology. “Once teachers experience the new TI-Nspire CX II, they will immediately appreciate the improved visuals on the screen, added power and robust, new features that help students explore STEM.”

Teachers will also appreciate that the key placement, navigation and computer menus are the same as earlier TI-Nspire models so they can continue to use their current classroom lessons. Parents will appreciate that a one-time purchase of a TI-Nspire CX II or CX II CAS will take students through all of their math and science courses in middle school, high school and college– everything from chemistry to calculus and can even help them learn to code.
