System Solver App

How do I load a system described by a coefficient matrix?

Simultaneous equations can be solved by entering the coefficients of the equations in a matrix, and then using the system solver application.

For Example:

Solve for x and y

3x + -2y = 12

6x + 4y = -3

Solution: First, begin by inputting the Ë. To do so, please follow the steps below:

1.    Press a Ë to bring up the Matrix Menu.

2.    Press the right arrow key to EDIT, and press the down arrow key to 1:[A].

3.    Input the dimensions of your matrix by pressing 2 = 3 =.

4.    Input the matrix entries, pressing = after each value. Your entries should be 3, −2, 12, 6, 4, and −3.

5.    Press * and select the system solver application.

6.    Set of the system solver for the appropriate number of equations and unknowns as well as the other settings.

7.    Select NEXT by pressing the h key.

8.    Choose LOAD by pressing g key.

9.    Use b and select the matrix variable where the coefficient matrix is stored.

10.    Select SOLVE by pressing the h key.

NOTE: ^ will change between decimal and fraction output.
