How do I make a boxplot?

To make a boxplot, follow these steps.
The following example will demonstrate how to graph a box plot.

Data for this example:

L1:{3,5,8,13,15,24,45}

Enter the data:

  1. Choose the List Editor icon or press m= to enter the statistics list editor.
  2. Press each number followed by pressing into L1.

Graph the data:

  1. Press aÀ1.
  2. Press to turn on the stat plot.
  3. Select the modified box plot (the 4th graph type available in the menu)
    using the right arrow key › and press =
  4. Be sure that XLIST is L1
  5. Allow FREQ to default to 1
  6. Press h to see the box plot.
    If you do not see the plot in a reasonable window,
    press and choose option 9: ZoomStat
    to automatically change the window for optimal viewing of the stat plots.
