Fred Ferneyhough and Paul Alves will present activities that formed the core of learning that engaged students during the summer of 2021. Students were part of a summer camp experience centered at universities across Canada. All of the engagement occurred online. The partnership with TI allowed students to engage with coding activities including physical coding through the use of the TI-Innovator™ Hub using Python. These fine Canadians will share the scope of the program as well as walk participants through the activities that formed the summer program, including Fizzbuzz, Traffic Light, Simulating Dice and The Musical Box. We hope that it won’t be a remote possibility that you will walk away with strategies to engage students in coding in an online environment. This session is designed for participants that are new to coding in Python and the TI-Innovator™ Hub but also provides challenges for the intermediate coder.
