How do I calculate 1 and 2 variable statistics?
To calculate 1 and 2 variable statistics, follow these steps.
Example: How to calculate 1-variable statistics.
x = {5, 9, 7, 4, 6, 250, 35, 100, 84}
- Select the List Editor icon
, or press m and select option 1: Edit. - Enter the data into L1.
- Press m, and press the right arrow key › to CALC.
- Select 1: 1-Var Stats.
- Enter L1 for the LIST and let FREQLIST remain blank for the default.
- Select the softkey for CALCULATE by pressing d or f.
- The statistics will be displayed (Press the arrow keys to scroll through the entire list of results).
Example: How to calculate 2-variable statistics.
Data for this example:
x: {3,5,8,10}
y: {7,2,3,1}
- Select the List Editor icon
, or press m and select option 1: Edit. - Enter the data into L1 and L2.
- Press m, and press the right arrow key › to CALC.
- Press the down arrow key ≥ to select 2:2-Var Stats.
- Enter L1 for the XLIST and L2 for the YLIST and let FREQLIST remain blank for the default.
- Select the softkey for CALCULATE by pressing d or f.
- The statistics will be displayed (Press the arrow keys to scroll through the entire list of results).
