Measuring Angles

Activity Overview

This activity will introduce and/or reinforce estimating the measurements of angles.

Before the Activity

Students should have access to the TI-84 Plus.

During the Activity

The student will:

Estimate angle measures, using 45°, 90°, and 180° as referents and measure and draw right, acute, and obtuse angles.

The student will measure and draw angles of less than 360°.

After the Activity

Review student results:

As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging

Re-teach concepts as necessary
