Getting Started with TI-Nspire™ Software in High School Mathematics

Designed for educators who are just beginning to use TI-Nspire™ technology, this workshop introduces TI-Nspire™ Student Software and TI-Nspire™ Teacher Software in the context of high school mathematics.

Learn a wide range of TI-Nspire™ software skills, and explore how to effectively integrate Math Nspired activities into your high school mathematics classroom. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be comfortable using pre-made TI-Nspire™ documents and have basic skills in graphing, geometry and other applications of TI-Nspire™ software.

Overview

This workshop is available in one-, two- and three-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two- and three-day workshops offer a more extensive exploration of topics.

workshop-1-day
  • Overview of TI-Nspire™ software, including general calculator, graphing and statistical functionality.
  • Opportunities to create dynamic TI-Nspire™ documents for student exploration.
  • Exploration of dynamic, interactive lessons for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus and Statistics.
workshop-2-day
  • Overview of creating interactive TI-Nspire™ documents that include modeling with multiple representations.
  • Introduction to data collection with the Calculator-Based Ranger 2™ (CBR 2™) motion sensor.
  • Exploration of online resources based on educators’ classroom needs.
workshop-3-day
  • Deeper coverage of TI-Nspire™ software, emphasizing classroom applications and broad subject coverage.
  • Wider curriculum coverage across key content areas in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus and Statistics.
  • Additional opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ classroom needs.
  • Introduction to data collection and analysis with the Calculator-Based Ranger 2™ (CBR 2) motion sensor.
