Transitioning to the TI-84 Plus CE in High School Mathematics

Designed for educators currently using the TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus family of graphing calculators, this workshop explores how to use the TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator to enhance students’ analytical and problem-solving abilities across a high school mathematics curriculum.

Learn how to effectively use color to help students distinguish relationships and make stronger connections between concepts. Explore key features designed to promote investigation of patterns and functions across multiple representations. Use on-screen background images to make real-world connections and learn effective strategies for integrating TI Connect™ CE software and TI-SmartView™ CE emulator software into your classroom.

Overview

This in-person workshop is available in one- and two-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two-day workshop offers a more extensive exploration of topics. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.

workshop-1-day
  • Introduction to key features of the TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator, including graphing functions, viewing data tables, splitting screens, graphing univariate and bivariate data, and calculating linear regressions.
  • Overview of TI Connect™ CE software.
