Teaching and Learning With TI-Nspire™ Apps for iPad^® in High School Mathematics

Designed for educators who are just beginning to use TI-Nspire™ Apps for iPad^® (either computer algebra system [CAS] or numeric), this workshop introduces TI-Nspire™ Apps for iPad^® in the context of high school mathematics.

Learn a wide range of TI-Nspire™ CX technology skills and explore how to effectively integrate Math Nspired activities into your high school mathematics classroom. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be comfortable using premade TI-Nspire™ Documents and have basic skills in graphing, geometry and other applications of TI-Nspire™ CX technology.

Overview

This in-person workshop is available in one-, two- and three-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two- and three-day workshops offer a more extensive exploration of topics. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.

	Overview of TI-Nspire™ Apps for iPad®, including general calculator, graphing and statistical functionality. Exploration of dynamic, interactive lessons that include features for mathematical modeling and multiple representations. Opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ classroom needs.
	Deeper coverage of key ideas in algebra I, geometry and algebra II. Introduction to basic features of TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software. Additional opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ classroom needs.
	Wider curriculum coverage across key content areas in algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics. Lesson design using the built-in iPad® camera and images inserted into TI-Nspire™ Documents. Additional opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ classroom needs.
