Teaching and Learning With the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ System in Science

Designed for educators who are using the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ System, this workshop introduces the system through dynamic, premade lessons for middle grades and high school science classrooms.

Through a variety of interactive features, you’ll learn strategies to assess student understanding using premade documents and basic Quick Poll questioning techniques. After completing the workshop, you’ll be able to use the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ System effectively in your science classroom.

Overview

This in-person workshop is available in one-, two- and three-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two- and three-day workshops offer a more extensive exploration of topics. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.

	Assessing students using premade documents and basic Quick Poll questioning techniques. Overview of the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ System, including basic formative assessment techniques. Exploration of interactive simulations, with opportunities to practice TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ System skills.
	Questioning strategies using the Class Capture feature and Quick Poll questions to instantly gauge student understanding. Data collection and analysis with the built-in Vernier DataQuest™ App for TI-Nspire™ technology. Creating assessment documents with TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software.
	Organizing assessment results in the Portfolio Workspace. Introduction to data aggregation, where individual student data is collected, combined into one data set, and sent back to the class for investigation. Opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ classroom needs.
