The Teachers Teaching with Technology™ (T3™) professional learning organization is comprised of some of the most creative and innovative mathematics, science and STEM teachers in the world. They are successful educators who work with teachers and students from elementary grades through the university level.

As advocates for enhancing student achievement, T3™ instructors speak from current experiences involving technology, educational trends and pedagogical practices. Their backgrounds include public, private, charter and magnet schools, as well as urban, suburban and rural environments.


Continuing a tradition of excellence

For more than 35 years, the T3™ organization has paved the way in professional learning. It has grown to include over 300 instructors in North America and hundreds more around the world. T3™ instructors work with over 60,000 educators a year in North America alone.

Your pathway to becoming a T³™ instructor

Step 1: T³™ Teacher Leader Cadre

T³™ Teacher Leader Cadre (TLC) is specifically designed for educators who wish to become T³™ instructors. This program serves as the essential first step in your journey toward certification.

What is T³™ TLC? Three days of in-person professional learning followed by 18 two-hour virtual sessions, providing comprehensive preparation for future T³™ instructors.

Your commitment: Upon completing T³™ TLC, participants are expected to apply to become a T³™ instructor within three years, ensuring you can build upon the knowledge and skills gained while they remain current and relevant.

Goals of T³™ TLC are to support educators in:

  • Developing their leadership
  • Supporting educators to become teacher leaders
  • Implementing effective, research-based teaching practices
  • Using TI technology to empower student learning
  • Cultivating educators' growth as reflective practitioners

Step 2: Join the T³™ instructor community

Apply to join a T³™ Teacher Leader Cadre

TI hosts T³™ TLC programs with limited participation determined through an application process.

In 2026, TI will host one T³™ TLC program, beginning with an in-person component followed by virtual sessions comprised of the equivalent of nine days of professional learning. The program kicks off July 20-22, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

Applications are due May 18, 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by June 5, 2026.

T³™ TLC logistics information

For accepted applicants, the cost of hotel, meals and training materials will be covered. T³™ TLC graduates will receive TI technology as a gift upon completion.

Please note: Candidates are responsible for their own transportation costs for the in-person portion of the program.

What makes a successful T³™ TLC applicant?

  • Reflective practitioners – The initiative to be aware of current trends or issues in education, and a belief in ongoing learning and improvement as an educator.
  • Teacher leaders – The desire to work with adults, with an interest in studying effective presenting practices and refining your skills as a professional learning provider.
  • Facilitators of learning – The knowledge of current pedagogical practices and TI technology, including experience using TI graphing calculator technology with students.
  • Community contributors – The desire to contribute meaningfully to the work of TI and the T³™ community.
