Workshop overview
This workshop introduces the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator in the context of key topics in AP® Calculus AB and AP® Calculus BC curricula.
Learn calculator and graphing skills through dynamic investigations using the TI-Nspire™ Series with an emphasis on deepening student understanding of limits, derivatives and integrals. By the end of the workshop, participants will be familiar with performing calculations, graphing and analyzing the behavior of functions, and using dynamic graphing calculator investigations.
6-hour Workshop
Content includes:
Enhancing calculus instruction using TI technology and preparing students to use their graphing calculator efficiently on assessments
12-hour Workshop
Includes all 6-hour workshop content, plus:
A deep dive into the applications of derivatives and integrals, especially particle motion, area/volume, differential equations, and rate in/rate out problems.
What to expect from your virtual workshop experience
Hands-on, interactive professional learning held in 3-hour time blocks.
You will receive the workshop training materials and online calculator license via email before the first session. If you selected the option for a TI graphing calculator, it will be sent to the mailing address provided.
Time between sessions to try new strategies, see how they work, and return with questions for the next session.
Receive a certificate of attendance that may be accepted as professional development credit from your school or district
