Learning to Code With Python Using the TI-Nspire™ CX II Graphing Calculator, TI-Innovator™ Hub and TI-Innovator™ Rover

Workshop overview

This workshop introduces the basics of Python coding principles including logic, selection statements and loops. Participants will expand their learning by using the TI-Innovator™ Hub and TI‑Innovator™ Rover to further engage students in coding and STEM applications.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be familiar with:

• Starting a new program, writing a program to display text, and running the program.
• Understanding the differences between global and local variables and using them in a program.
• Writing programs that control input and output commands on the Hub.
• Writing input statements using IF and conditions.
• Using loop structures.
