9 – 10:30 a.m. | First morning sessions


Session 1 | Valuable Tips for the TI-Nspire™ Series

  • Overview of the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator, including general calculator, graphing, and statistical functionality.
  • Exploration of dynamic, interactive lessons for algebra 1 and 2, geometry, precalculus, calculus and statistics.
  • Introduction to basic features of the TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software.

Session 2 | Developing Deeper Conceptual Understanding to Prepare for the SAT® Exam with TI Technology

  • Students who excel at procedural fluency only, like memorizing steps and formulas, may have a tough time on the math section of the redesigned SAT® exam. They need a deeper understanding of the concepts. This session focuses on learning how to leverage TI technology to help meet this goal by providing activities and ideas that promote conceptual understanding.
  • Features the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator.

Session 3 | Investigations in Biology with the TI-Nspire™ Series

  • Challenge students to explore biology concepts in a deeper, more engaging way with the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator.
  • Explore activities designed to cover essential standards-aligned biology topics. Activities can be edited or used as is to meet the specific learning objectives of your classroom.

Session 4 | Data Collection to Make Meaningful Connections in Math and Science Classrooms

  • Explore data collection using TI technology along with the Vernier EasyTemp® sensor and CBR™ 2 motion sensor.
  • Analyze data through the development of mathematical models.

Session 5 | Middle School Advanced Math: Using the TI-Nspire™ Series to Dive Deeper Into 7th and 8th Grade TEKS

  • Use the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator to bring the TEKS together for 7th and 8th grade math.
  • Review technology skills including calculator basics, solving equations, graphing and data analysis.
  • Explore real-world applications that bring abstract math concepts to life, making learning relevant and exciting for middle school students.
  • Experience beginner-friendly strategies you can immediately apply in the classroom, whether you’re new to using TI technology or looking to enhance your current practices.

Session 6 | Exploring Topics in AP® Precalculus with TI Technology

  • Explore how TI technology can deepen understanding of mathematical modeling, functions, rates of change and other approaches to precalculus.

Session 7 | Inquiry-based Chemistry Using the TI-Nspire™ Series

  • Challenge students to explore chemistry concepts in a deeper, more engaging way with the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator.
  • Explore activities designed to cover essential standards-aligned chemistry topics. Activities can be edited or used as is to meet the specific learning objectives of your classroom.

Session 8 | Leveraging TI Technology for Success on the ACCUPLACER®/TSIA2 Math Test

  • Discover what to expect on the mathematics sections of the ACCUPLACER®/TSIA2 test.
  • In-depth review of key categories tested and how students can leverage TI technology.
  • Examine essential concepts from each content category on the TSIA2 test.
  • Explore examples to gain practical strategies for effective classroom instruction.

Session 9 | Exploring Algebra Topics with the TI-Nspire™ Series

  • Using the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator, we’ll explore topics such as:
    • Linear functions
    • Systems of linear equations
    • Functions and relations
    • Quadratic, exponential, radical and rational functions
    • Probability

Session 10 | Exploring Topics in AP® Statistics Using TI Technology

  • Discover how TI technology can deepen student understanding of the presentation of data through graphical representations such as histograms, box and whisker diagrams, X2 goodness-of-fit and t-tests.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in mathematical practices for AP® Statistics.

Session 11| Problem solving in Physics with TI-Nspire™ CX II Technology

  • Challenge students to explore physics concepts in a deeper, more engaging way with TI-Nspire™ technology.
  • Explore activities designed to cover essential standard-aligned physics topics. These activities can be edited or used as is, giving you the flexibility to modify to meet specific learning objectives in your classroom.

Session 12 | STEM Activities to Engage Your Students Using TI-Innovator™ Technology

  • Designed for both math and science teachers, learn ways to integrate STEM projects into the classroom using the TI-Innovator™ Hub, TI-Innovator™ Rover and TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator.
  • Guide students on the path toward building their own STEM projects with activities that challenge them to address current real-world issues.
  • Use math, computer programming, and engineering skills to design and build models to solve current problems.



2:30 – 4 p.m. | Second afternoon sessions


Session 13 | Algebra 2 and Precalculus with the TI-Nspire™ Series

  • Explore the following topics with the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator:
    • Modeling various functions: statistical regression, choosing the best model, and interpolating and extrapolating information.
    • Polynomial equations and functions: graphing and evaluating, finding relative extremes, and an exploration of zeroes.

Session 14 | Student Activities to Enhance Technology Use in Your Classroom

  • Explore topics focused on teaching calculus with TI technology, including:
    • Tangent line approximations.
    • The relationship between a function and its derivatives.
    • The relationship between integration and the area between a curve and x-axis.
    • Strategies to prepare students for the AP® Calculus exam.

Session 15 | Engaging 8th Grade Science Investigations with the TI-Nspire™ Series

  • Challenge students to explore middle grades concepts in a deeper, more engaging way with the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator.
  • Explore activities designed to cover essential standards-aligned 8th grade science topics. Activities can be edited or used as is to meet the specific learning objectives of your classroom.

Session 16 | Elevate Classroom Learning with Drones Using the TI-Nspire™ Series and CoDrone EDU

  • Take STEM learning to new heights by integrating the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator with Robolink’s CoDrone EDU.
  • In this hands-on session, educators will:
    • Explore how to bring coding, robotics and data analysis to life in the classroom.
    • Learn practical strategies for engaging students in math, science and engineering concepts through real-world applications, problem-solving challenges and interactive activities.
  • Whether you’re new to coding or looking to expand your technology toolkit, this session will provide innovative ways to boost student engagement and deepen conceptual understanding.
