Session 1 | Valuable Tips for the TI-84 Series

  • Get an overview of the graphing calculator along with the basic computation, graphing and functionality.
  • Learn how to easily use the graphing calculator as an evaluator of complex expressions, trace on a graph and table simultaneously, quickly evaluate the quadratic formula, store window settings, and investigate transformation graphing with lists.
  • Get tips on how to utilize the TI-84 online calculator.

Session 2 | Valuable Tips for the TI-Nspire™ Series

  • Overview of the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator, including general calculator, graphing, and statistical functionality.
  • Exploration of dynamic, interactive lessons for algebra 1 and 2, geometry, precalculus, calculus and statistics.
  • Introduction to basic features of the TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software.

Session 3 | Exploring Topics in Precalculus with TI Technology – Polynomial and Rational Functions

  • This session features both TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire™ CX technologies.
  • Explore how technology can deepen understanding of rate of change, end behavior, asymptotes and function transformations.

Session 4 | Data Collection to Make Meaningful Connections in Math and Science Classrooms

  • This session features both TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire™ CX technologies.
  • Explore data collection using TI technology along with the Vernier EasyTemp® sensor and CBR™ 2 motion sensor.
  • Analyze data through the development of mathematical models.

Session 5 | Exploring Algebra Topics with the TI-84 Series

  • Using the TI-84 Series graphing calculator, we’ll explore topics such as:
    • Linear functions
    • Systems of linear equations
    • Functions and relations
    • Quadratic, exponential, radical and rational functions
    • Probability

Session 6 | Leveraging the TI-Nspire™ Series for ACT® Test Success

  • Learn ways to use the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator to drive student success on the ACT® by exploring recently released test items.
  • Review the updated elements of the ACT®, discuss strategies for helping students better understand key topics, and emphasize techniques for teaching with the graphing calculator.

Session 7 | Exploring Topics in Precalculus with TI Technology – Exponential Functions, Logarithmic Functions and Regression

  • This session features both TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire™ CX technologies.
  • Learn how TI technology can be used to investigate the relationship between exponential and logarithmic functions, inverse and composite functions, and the concept of regression as a way to find a model for contextual data.

Session 8 | Learning to Code with the BBC micro:bit and TI-Nspire™ Series

  • This session is designed for educators interested in introducing coding to their students using the BBC micro:bit and TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator.
  • Expand on the lessons featured in TI’s “10 Minutes of Code” to engage students as they learn to write code that controls the micro:bit and its built-in sensors, including light and sound.
  • Build a foundation that students can apply to real-world STEM applications and problem-solving skills.

Session 9 | Leveraging the TI-84 Series for ACT® Test Success

  • Learn ways to use the TI-84 Series graphing calculator to drive student success on the ACT® by exploring recently released test items.
  • Review the updated elements of the ACT®, discuss strategies for helping students better understand key topics, and emphasize techniques for teaching with the graphing calculator.

Session 10 | Exploring Algebra Topics with the TI-Nspire™ Series

  • Using the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator, we’ll explore topics such as:
    • Linear functions
    • Systems of linear equations
    • Functions and relations
    • Quadratic, exponential, radical and rational functions
    • Probability

Session 11 | Exploring Topics in AP® Statistics Using TI Technology

  • This session features both TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire™ CX technologies.
  • Discover how TI technology can deepen student understanding of the presentation of data through graphical representations such as histograms, box and whisker diagrams, X2 goodness-of-fit and t-tests.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in mathematical practices for AP® Statistics.

Session 12 | STEM Activities to Engage Your Students Using TI-Innovator™ Technology

  • Designed for both math and science teachers, learn ways to integrate STEM projects into the classroom using the TI-Innovator™ Hub, TI-Innovator™ Rover and TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator.
  • Guide students on the path toward building their own STEM projects with activities that challenge them to address current real-world issues.
  • Use math, computer programming, and engineering skills to design and build models to solve current problems.



2:30 – 4 p.m. | Second afternoon sessions


Session 13 | Algebra 2 and Precalculus with the TI-84 Series

  • Explore the following topics with the TI-84 Series graphing calculator:
    • Modeling various functions: statistical regression, choosing the best model, and interpolating and extrapolating information.
    • Polynomial equations and functions: graphing and evaluating, finding relative extremes, and an exploration of zeroes.

Session 14 | Topics in Geometry with the TI-84 Series

  • Explore topics covering congruence, similarity and right triangles, and transformations using the TI-84 Series graphing calculator.

Session 15 | Topics in AP® Calculus with TI Technology

  • This session features both TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire™ CX technologies.
  • Explore topics focused on teaching calculus with TI technology, including:
    • Tangent line approximations.
    • The relationship between a function and its derivatives.
    • The relationship between integration and the area between a curve and x-axis.
    • Strategies to prepare students for the AP® Calculus exam.

Session 16 | Elevate Classroom Learning with Drones Using the TI-Nspire™ Series and CoDrone EDU

  • Take STEM learning to new heights by integrating the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator with Robolink’s CoDrone EDU.
  • In this hands-on session, educators will:
    • Explore how to bring coding, robotics and data analysis to life in the classroom.
    • Learn practical strategies for engaging students in math, science and engineering concepts through real-world applications, problem-solving challenges and interactive activities.
  • Whether you’re new to coding or looking to expand your technology toolkit, this session will provide innovative ways to boost student engagement and deepen conceptual understanding.
