Pricing

$250 — Summit registration includes your choice of one of the following:

  • TI-Nspire™ CX II CAS graphing calculator and TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software.
  • TI-84 Plus CE Python graphing calculator and TI-SmartView™ CE emulator software for the TI-84 Plus graphing family.



What to expect from your T³™ Regional Summit:

  • Attend a total of four sessions featuring hands-on, interactive professional learning on the topics of your choice.
  • Receive TI technology and training materials given to you on site.
  • Receive a Certificate of Attendance which may be accepted for school or district professional development credit.
  • Texas Instruments Education Technology is an approved Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) sponsor in New York.
  • Continental breakfast and lunch are included.
  • We will follow local protocols and safety recommendations and request that all attendees do the same for the health of all in attendance.
  • In the event the summit is canceled, all registrants will be notified as soon as possible and registration fees will be refunded in full.

9:30 – 11:00 a.m. | First morning sessions


Session 1 | Valuable Tips for the TI-84 Plus CE and TI-SmartView™ Emulator Software

  • Get an overview of the TI-84 Plus CE along with the basic computation, graphing and functionality.
  • Learn how to easily use the TI-84 Plus CE as an evaluator of complex expressions, trace on a graph and table simultaneously, quickly evaluate the quadratic formula, store window settings and investigate transformation graphing with lists.
  • Get tips on how to utilize TI-SmartView™ software.

Session 2 | Valuable Tips for Using TI-Nspire™ CX II Technology

  • Get an overview of TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator, including general calculator, graphing and statistical functionality.
  • Explore dynamic and interactive lessons for algebra 1 and algebra 2, geometry, precalculus, calculus and statistics.
  • Learn the basic features of the TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software.

Session 3 | Exploring Financial Literacy Tools Using TI Technology

  • Enhance financial literacy lessons with TI technology to explore concepts from simple and compound interest to amortization, loans and debts.

Session 4 | Data Collection to Make Meaningful Connections in Math and Science Classrooms

  • Explore collecting data using TI technology along with the Vernier EasyTemp® sensor and CBR™ 2 motion sensor.
  • Analyze data through the development of mathematical models.



11:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Second morning sessions


Session 5 | TI Tips for NYS Math Regents Exams with the TI-84 Plus CE

  • Break down a NYS Math Regents exam with the TI-84 Plus CE that you use in your classroom.
  • We will maximize the use of the calculator to build math confidence and increase success on the exams.

Session 6 | Developing Deeper Conceptual Understanding to Prepare for the Digital SAT® Exam With TI-Nspire™ CX Technology

  • Students who only excel at procedural fluency (i.e. memorizing steps and formulas) will have a tough time on the math section of the redesigned SAT® exam. They need a deeper understanding of the concepts. Learn to leverage TI technology to help meet this goal by providing activities and ideas that promote conceptual understanding.

Session 7 | Exploring Topics in AP® Precalculus With TI Technology

  • Explore how TI technology can deepen understanding of mathematical modeling, functions, rates of change and other approaches to precalculus.

Session 8 | Learning to Code With the BBC Micro:bit with TI-Nspire™ CX Families of Graphing Calculators

  • This session is designed for educators interested in introducing coding to their students using the BBC micro:bit.
  • Expand on the lessons featured in TI’s 10 Minutes of Code to excite students in learning the code to control the micro:bit and its built-in sensors, including light and sound.
  • Engage your students with the latest technology, preparing them for the next stage to explore real-world STEM applications.

  • Discover how the TI technology can deepen student understanding of the presentation of data through graphical representations including histograms, box and whisker diagrams, X2 goodness of fit and t-tests.
  • Explore strategies for engaging students in mathematical practices for AP® Statistics.

Session 12 | STEM Activities to Engage Your Students With the TI-Innovator™ Hub and Rover

  • This session is designed for math and science teachers interested in introducing STEM projects in classrooms, featuring the TI-Innovator™ Hub and Rover with TI-Nspire™ CX technology.
  • Guide students on the path toward building their own STEM projects with activities that challenge them to address current real-world issues.
  • Use math, computer programming and engineering to design and build models to solve current problems.
  • No coding experience is necessary.



3:15 – 4:45 p.m. | Second afternoon sessions


Session 13 | Exploring Concepts in Middle Grades Math With the TI-34 MultiView™ Scientific Calculator

  • Discover how the TI-34 MultiView™ scientific calculator can help your middle grades students explore evaluating expressions, preforming conversions and calculating one-variable statistics.

Session 14 | Topics in Geometry With the TI-Nspire™ CX II Graphing Calculator

  • Explore geometry topics including congruence, similarity and right triangles, and transformations using the TI-Nspire™ CX II handheld.

Session 15 | Topics in AP® Calculus With TI Technology

  • Explore topics focused on teaching calculus with TI technology, including:
    • Tangent line approximations.
    • The relationship between a function and its derivatives.
    • The relationship between integration and the area between a curve and x-axis.
  • Discuss strategies to prepare students for the AP® Calculus exam.

Session 16 | Elevate Learning with Drones in the Classroom with TI-Nspire™ CX Technology and CoDrone EDU

  • Take STEM learning to new heights by integrating TI-Nspire CX II calculators with CoDrone EDU technology!
  • In the hands-on session, educators will:
    • Explore how to bring coding, robotics and data analysis to life in the classroom.
    • Learn practical strategies for engaging students in math, science and engineering concepts through real-world applications, problem-solving challenges and interactive activities.
  • Whether you’re new to coding or looking to expand your technology toolkit, this session will provide innovative ways to boost student engagement and deepen conceptual understanding.
