As we move into Year 3 of AP® Precalculus, many teachers realize that this is not your typical precalculus course, even for the world of polynomial functions.

- Look at the impact of understanding rate of change and change in rate of change in polynomial functions.
- Demonstrate the connection of secant lines to the average rate of change.
- Highlight the importance of function approximations based on the average rate of change.
- Explore zeros and end behavior for polynomial functions.
