Model This! Bringing Mathematical Modeling to Life With TI Technology
When: Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025 | 7 p.m. Central time
Technology: TI-84 Plus series, TI‑Nspire™ series
Presenters: Karen Hyers, Rachael Gorsuch
Bring relevance and excitement to your math classroom through the power of mathematical modeling!
Inspired by the ideas in the NCTM publication “High School Mathematics Reimagined, Revitalized, and Relevant,” this webinar will show you how to engage students in solving real-world problems using the modeling process.
You'll learn practical steps to introduce modeling in your classroom—guiding students as they formulate questions, make assumptions, build and test models, and interpret results. We’ll also explore interactive activities that leverage TI technology, including TI‑84 Plus CE and TI‑Nspire™ CX II graphing calculators, to support and enhance the modeling experience.
Whether you're new to modeling or looking for fresh strategies, you'll leave with classroom-ready resources, tech tools, and a clear path to making math more meaningful and applicable for your students.
