Morning Sessions (two hours) | 10:30 a.m. Eastern / 9:30 a.m. Central

Session 1 | Teaching Strategies for Synchronous Online Learning With TI‑Nspire™ CX Technology

This session will focus on best practices for delivering effective instruction in a synchronous online environment using TI-Nspire ™ technology. We will cover strategies to encourage engagement and interactivity, including techniques for facilitating discussions and small group work. We will model effective use of TI technology and cover additional resources that are available.

Session 2 | Teaching Strategies for Asynchronous Online Learning With TI-84 Plus CE Technology

In this session, you will explore the benefits of the flipped classroom and how to successfully implement it. In the context of the shift to increased online learning, we will help prepare you to use this dynamic approach as a key learning tool. We will model using the TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator with ready-to-use resources, along with lessons that can be modified or created to best achieve instructional goals.

Session 3 | Navigating Science Nspired Resources for Virtual STEM/Science Solutions

Join this session to explore STEM and science lessons utilizing TI-Nspire™ technology that are ready for you to use to make topics exciting and relevant. You can use these flexible lesson designs in a virtual, blended or face-to-face environment to help students learn essential science content in a deeper, more engaging way, and connect concepts to the real world.

Session 4 | Test Prep in a Virtual World: Leveraging the TI-84 Plus CE for Student Success on the ACT® and SAT® Math Tests

This session focuses on leveraging TI-84 Plus CE technology skills to drive student success on the ACT® and the SAT® math tests. Educators will cover the main elements of the tests, discuss strategies for helping students to better understand key topics, and emphasize techniques for teaching with TI-84 Plus CE technology.

Session 5 | Video Resources and More for the Virtual Classroom

In this “Lunch and Learn” session, we will discuss the video resources on our YouTube channel, as well as learning resources found on the education.ti.com website. Check out this session if you’re looking for a quick tour of all that TI has to offer for virtual, blended and in-person learning for math, science and STEM educators.

Session 6 | Using TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software to Teach Math Virtually (Beginner session)

This session will explore and explain the basic functions of the TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software and how it can help you teach virtually or in a blended environment. Educators will share ideas and cover key functionality to create your own activities to help students grasp and understand mathematical concepts.

Session 7 | Using TI-SmartView™ Software for the TI-84 Plus Family to Teach Math Virtually (Beginner session)

This session will explore and explain the basic functions of the TI-SmartView™ software for the TI-84 Plus CE and how it can help you teach virtually or in a blended environment. Educators will share ideas and cover key functionality to create your own activities to help students grasp and understand mathematical concepts.

Session 8 | Resources to Support Unfinished Learning

The impact on learning incurred by the 2020 global pandemic has exacerbated one of the most complex challenges that educators have faced for decades: educating classrooms of students who are at different places in their learning progressions. In this session, learn about resources to tap into or to use differently that allow educators to better address the variety of readiness, and move all students forward in their learning.
