STEM Investigations with TI-Nspire™ Technology

Technology: TI‑Nspire™ Technology
Topic: Data Collection
Speakers: Linda Antinone, Cassie Whitecotton

Designed for educators interested in STEM education, this webinar will explore avenues for integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics using TI-Nspire™ technology.

STEM practices will be introduced and applied through real-world problem-solving scenarios, such as designing a better football helmet to reduce the number of on-field concussions. Learn how TI-Nspire™ technology can be used to model and analyze concussion data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Once the problem is defined, see how the engineering design process can be applied using TI-Nspire™ technology and the built-in Vernier DataQuest™ application for TI-Nspire™ technology. By collecting, modeling and analyzing force data, students can refine and evaluate their designs to determine the most effective football helmet. (2015)
