Solution 14510: Unexpected Results for Standard Normal Cumulative Distribution Using the normalpdf () Function on TI-83 Plus Family or TI-84 Plus Family Graphing Calculators.

Why am I getting the wrong answer when computing Standard Normal Cumulative Distribution using the normalpdf () function on my TI-83 Plus family or TI-84 Plus family calculator?

Standard normal cumulative distribution assumes the mean = 0, the standard deviation = 1, and that the form of the function is cumulative. The normalpdf() function on the calculator assumes that the form of the function is NOT cumulative. Therefore, the ability to compute standard normal cumulative distribution using the normalpdf() function, is not included in the TI-83 Plus family or TI-84 Plus family list of features.

Please see the TI-83 family and TI-84 Plus family guidebooks for additional information.
