Solution 34937: Hiding Asymptotes on a Graph Using the TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Plus Family, and TI-Nspire in TI-84 Plus Mode.

How do I hide asymptotes on a graph using the TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Plus family, and TI-Nspire in TI-84 Plus mode?

The asymptotes show because the mode on the TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Plus family, and TI-Nspire in TI-84 Plus mode is set on "Connected". Changing the mode setting to "Dot" will hide the asymptotes on a graph.

To hide the asymptotes, follow the steps below:

• Press [MODE].
• Arrow down to Connected, then arrow over to Dot and press [ENTER].

• Press [2ND] [QUIT] to exit to the home screen with the blinking cursor.

The asymptotes are now hidden on the graph.

Please see the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus family guidebooks for additional information.

Note: TI-Nspire users may refer to the TI-84 Plus family guidebook.
