What can I do to fix the error message "Unable to complete the transfer" or "USB communication error: Multiple files matched" on the TI-84 Plus Family of Graphing Calculators?
When a back up is performed, the error message "Unable to complete the transfer" may be displayed. This error message is an indication that one or more flash applications or application variables with the same name already exists.To resolve this issue, manually back up all files and upgrade to the latest TI-84 Plus Family operating system.
To manually back up important files:
• Connect the calculator to the cable and turn the calculator on.
• Open the TI Connect software.
• Open the TI Device Explorer.
• Locate a file that needs to be saved. Drag the name of the file from the TI Device Explorer window and drop it onto the desktop or into a folder.
Repeat this process for each file that should be saved.
If, after the update, the same error message or the error message "USB communication error: Multiple files matched (8C080019)" is displayed, download the next operating system version when it becomes available.
