Solution 11425: Sending the DataMate™ App or Program to a Graphing Calculator.

Where do I find the DataMate App and how do I send it to a graphing calculator?

The DataMate App comes preloaded in the CBL 2™. Follow the steps below to send it to a graphing calculator:

Sending the DataMate App to the TI-83 Plus family or TI-84 Plus family.

• Connect the calculator to the CBL 2 with the unit-to-unit cable.
• Put the calculator in receiving mode by pressing [2nd][LINK], the right arrow key and then [ENTER]. In receiving mode, the TI-83 Plus/TI-83 Plus Silver Edition or TI-84 Plus family calculator should display the message "Waiting...".
• Press the [TRANSFER] key on the CBL 2.

Sending the DataMate program to the TI-82, the TI-83, and the TI-86.

• Connect the calculator to the CBL 2 with the unit-to-unit cable.
• Put the calculator in receiving mode: press [2nd][LINK], select Receive, and press [ENTER].
• Press the [TRANSFER] key on the CBL 2.

Note: TI-85's that are compatible with the CBL can be used with the CBL 2. However, the DataMate program cannot be sent to the TI-85. When, using the TI-85 with the CBL 2, TI-85 CBL programs should be used.

Sending the DataMate program to TI-89 family, TI-92 Plus, or Voyage™ 200

• Download the Datamate application for the TI-89 family or the TI-92/Voyage™ 200 and save it to the computer.
• Delete any previously installed DataMate software on the calculator.
• Confirm that the TI Connect™ software is installed on the computer. If not, visit education.ti.com/ticonnect to get a copy.
• Plug the TI Connectivity Cable into both the computer and the TI calculator.
• Launch the TI Connect software and select DEVICE EXPLORER. TI Connect will automatically detect the TI calculator.
• Find the App file saved, drag and drop it to the calculator Explorer window and wait for the transfer.
