How do I install and remove the faceplate on the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition and TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition?
The TI-84 Plus Silver Edition and TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition have interchangeable faceplates that let the user customize the appearance of the calculator. The steps for removing and installing these faceplates have been provided below.
Removing a Faceplate:
• Lift the tab at the bottom edge of the faceplate away from the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition or TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition case.
• Carefully lift the faceplate away from the calculator until it releases. Be careful not to damage the faceplate or the keypad.
Installing New Faceplates:
•
Align the top of the faceplate in the corresponding grooves of the
TI-84 Plus Silver Edition or TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition case.
• Gently click the faceplate into place (do not force).
• Apply slight pressure in the middle of the faceplate to ensure that it is securely in place and not obstructing any keys.
• Inspect ALL keys to ensure that they move freely after installation.
Note: If the faceplate is not installed properly, the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition or TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition may appear to be locked up or fail to power on.
