Solution 37516: TI-Connect CE Displays Invalid Error when Transferring Files to Calculator.

Why does TI-Connect CE give an invalid error when transferring files to calculator?

TI-Connect CE displays an invalid error when the file you are sending is an invalid or corrupt file.

If you downloaded a calculator file from the internet you may want to try downloading the file again as it may have become corrupted during download. If you still receive this error you may want to verify the file is for the specific calculator you own because if it is for a different calculator it may not work on your calculator.

Please Note: If you modify or change a file on the calculator that is connected to TI-Connect CE without clicking the [Refresh] option the file once transferred to the computer will become corrupted. To avoid this issue if you modify a file on the calculator click [Refresh] before transferring the file or avoid modifying files while connected to TI-Connect CE. Our development team is aware of this issue and it may be correct it in a future release of the product.

Additional Note:
If you attempt to send an image file with a resolution of 6200 x 4200 or larger an invalid error will display as well. If you run into this issue use an image editor to scale your image to smaller size. Our development team is aware of this issue and it may be correct it in a future release of the product.
