Solution 20489: Using the Right Arrow Key To Fill in Values When Using Templates on the TI-30XS/B MultiView™ Scientific Calculators.

How do I enter values for certain math templates on the TI-30XS/B MultiView calculators?

The TI-30XS/B MultiView calculators have templates that are used for entering certain math computations. For example, some templates exist for fractions [n/d] and scientific notation [x10n]. It is important to note that when using these templates, the right arrow key will have to be pressed to "get out of the" template so that the rest of the problem can be entered.

For example:

Using the [n/d] key, if the user inputs a value for "n", they must then scroll down to "d" to input a value. If the user does not press the right arrow key to get out of the template, the next input will also be part of the denominator or "d".

Using the [x10n] key, if the user inputs a value for "x" and presses the [x10n] key, the calculator will go into "exponent" mode which will allow them to input a value for "n". If the user does not press the right arrow key to get out of the template, the next input will also be part of the exponent.
