How do I calculate percentages using TI-30Xa family calculators?

The examples below will demonstrate using the [%] key to calculate percentages, ratios, add-ons, and discounts using the TI-30Xa family calculators.

Using [%] for Percentages:

Example: Take 5% of 250.

Compute as follows:
250 [x] 5 [2nd] [2] [=]

The answer is 12.5.

Using [%] for Ratios:

Example: Calculate the ratio of 250 to 5.

Compute as follows:
250 [Division] 5 [2nd] [2] [=]

The answer is 5000.

Using [%] for Add-ons:

Example: Take a 5% add-on of 250.

Compute as follows:
250 [+] 5 [2nd] [2] [=]

The answer is 262.5.

Using [%] for Discounts:

Example: Take a 5% discount of 250.

Compute as follows:
250 [-] 5 [2nd] [2] [=]

The answer is 237.5.
