Solution 15463: Finding the Amplitude of Periodic Function on the TI-89 Titanium and Voyage™ 200 Graphing Calculators.

How do I find the amplitude of a periodic function?

The amplitude of a periodic function is one-half the difference between the largest possible value of the function and the smallest possible value. For example, for y= sin(x), the largest possible value of y is 1 and the smallest possible value is -1, so the amplitude is 1. The TI-89 Titanium and the Voyage 200 do not have a function which will find the amplitude of a periodic function.

Please see the TI-89 Titanium or Voyage 200 guidebooks for additional information.
