Is it necessary to register the calculator for Warranty verification purposes?

Congratulations on the purchase of your new TI product! TI provides a one-year limited warranty against defective materials and construction. It is not necessary to register your product to activate the warranty. Please retain your sales receipt, as you will be asked to provide it, should you need to make a warranty claim in the future. 

Texas Instruments uses the date of purchase to verify the warranty. The registration does not count as proof of purchase. Keep the purchase receipt as a proof of the date of purchase.
