Reviewing reflections of figures on a coordinate plane
Before the Activity
The teacher would need to download the LearningCheck™ document from the website to classroom calculators. Lead a short brainstorming session on the vocabulary of transformations.
This activity deals only with reflections, however students need review/practice with all the vocabulary.
During the Activity
The teacher controls the classroom and acts as a facilitator for the activity.
Data of the students' responses can be collected and discussed. Analysis of students' responses should guide planning of further lessons on this topic as needed.
After the Activity
Review student results:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
