Students will:
1. Construct a triangle and measure its sides and angles.
2. Construct a second triangle with corresponding sides equal in length.
3. Try to alter the properties of their construction by moving the vertices.
Before the Activity
Each student should have access to a TI-84 Plus, Cabri Jr and a copy of the attached .pdf files.
During the Activity
Explore relationships (including congruence and similarity) among classes of two- and three-dimensional geometric objects, make and test conjectures about them, and solve problems involving them.
After the Activity
Review student results and, as a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging. Re-teach concepts as necessary.
