Science: Vernier - Vapor Pressure of Liquids
by Vernier Software & Technology

Published on June 09, 2008

Overview

Students investigate the relationship between the vapor pressure of liquid and its temperature. They use a Pressure Sensor and a Temperature Probe to collect pressure and temperature data. Students compare the vapor pressure of two liquids.

Key Steps

  • Image

The Gas Pressure Sensor is used in Events with Entry to measure the vapor pressure of a liquid at four different temperatures.

Transforming the data and graphing the results, students can see the relationship between the vapor pressure of a liquid and temperature.
