Solution 15142: Connecting a Vernier Microphone (MCA-CBL) and Other Non Auto-ID Probes to a TI-82, TI-83 Family and TI-84 Plus Family Graphing Calculator and a CBL™ or CBL 2™.
How can a Vernier Microphone (MCA-CBL) and other non auto-ID probes be connected to a TI-82, TI-83 family and TI-84 Plus family graphing calculator and a CBL or CBL 2?
Older probes that do not send an auto-ID to the calculator and CBL or CBL 2 will need to be manually chosen. Once the Microphone is connected through a CBL or CBL 2 the user needs to enter the data app and choose the proper setup options following the instructions below:
• Choose setup from the data apps home screen.
• Use the cursor keypad and position the cursor next to the channel to be set up. Press [ENTER].
• A list of sensors will appear.
• Select a sensor or select MORE to see another list of sensors.
Note: Selecting some sensors may produce another set of choices from which the user can select a particular sensor or unit.
