Students investigate the intersection of the altitudes of a triangle.
Before the Activity
Students must read the attached handout and turn their TI-nspire on.
During the Activity
Students should complete the attached handout. Students should change the triangle to make an a right triangle and an obtuse triangle. Students should discuss these findings.
After the Activity
A classroom discussion should contain student observations about the intersections of the altitudes for an acute, obtuse, and right triangle.
