Chemistry with TI-Nspire™ technology and the
TI-Nspire™ Navigator™ system

Designed for educators who are just beginning to use TI-Nspire™ technology, this workshop introduces the TI-Nspire™ CX handheld, sensor-based data collection and the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ system in the context of chemistry.

Educators will learn a wide range of TI-Nspire™ technology skills focused on data collection and analysis, while exploring strategies to effectively integrate the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ system into their chemistry classrooms.


This workshop is available in one- to six-day configurations to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available.

  • Overview of the TI-Nspire™ CX handheld, including general calculator functionality
  • Introduction to data collection and analysis with the Vernier EasyTemp® USB temperature sensor and Vernier gas pressure sensor.
  • Exploration of dynamic, interactive TI-Nspire™ CX handheld simulations.
  • Introduction to the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ system, including the Live Presenter, Quick Poll and Class Capture features.
  • Multisensor data collection and analysis using the TI-Nspire™ Lab Cradle.
  • Data aggregation with the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ system, where students' data sets are collected, combined and sent to the entire class for further analysis.
  • Broader content coverage with TI-Nspire™ simulations that address key concepts across the chemistry curriculum.
  • Extended opportunities to practice additional TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ skills, including organizing students' work in the Portfolio Workspace.
  • Exploration of online content and professional development resources to further support the successful implementation of the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ system.
