Workshop overview

This workshop is designed for mathematics educators who want to learn ways of leveraging TI-Nspire™ CX technology to drive student success on the ACT® by exploring released test items.

Educators will cover the main elements of the ACT®, discuss strategies for helping students better understand key topics, and emphasize techniques for teaching with TI-Nspire™ CX technology.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be familiar with:

  • Leveraging TI-Nspire™ CX technology for exam questions in key categories such as Number and Quantity, Algebra, Functions, Geometry, and Statistics and Probability.
  • Highlighting the key content areas on the ACT® and adjusting mathematics instruction accordingly.
  • Implementing test preparation strategies in the mathematics classroom.
  • Using premade activities that reinforce technology skills and deepen student understanding of key topics.

Pricing and technology options

$350 — Workshop registration includes the following TI technology package:

  • TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator, TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software

Note: Should the workshop need to be canceled, registration fees will be refunded in full.

What to expect from your in-person workshop

  • Twelve hours of hands-on, interactive professional learning held in a small group setting over two, six-hour sessions.
  • Receive your TI technology and training materials at the workshop site.
  • Receive a certificate of attendance that may be accepted as professional development credit from your school or district.
  • We will follow local protocols and safety recommendations and request that all attendees do the same for the health of all in attendance.
  • If circumstances change, we may need to cancel the workshop or convert this offering to a virtual workshop to comply with local guidelines, and we will notify all registrants as soon as possible .
