Day 1: Connecting Science and Mathematics With TI Technology
This workshop is designed for educators interested in learning more about the data collection features of the TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculators. It offers hands-on explorations demonstrating effective classroom use of the handhelds in high school mathematics and science classrooms.
Participants will work through classroom-ready activities that make use of the handhelds — along with various data collection devices such as the CBL™ 2 data collection device, CBR™ 2 motion sensor, and Vernier EasyLink® interface — to enhance student understanding and problem-solving.
Day 2: Implementing TI-Innovator™ Rover in the Mathematics Classroom
This workshop focuses on connecting the use of TI-Innovator™ Rover in the mathematics classroom with middle and high school curricula. Building upon the lessons taken from TI’s Math in Motion and 10 Minutes of Code activities, participant will learn how to operate the Rover using either TI-84 Plus CE or TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculators. Ready-to-use activities for enhancing student understanding of key mathematical concepts will also be explored.
