Virtual Workshop: Next Steps With TI-Nspire™ Technology in High School Mathematics

Workshop overview

Educators with intermediate-level knowledge of TI-Nspire™ CX technology will learn how to create activities to excite and engage students in high school mathematics. This workshop covers a variety of topics, including algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics.

Learn how TI-Nspire™ CX technology facilitates reasoning, sense-making and understanding in an interactive mathematics classroom. You’ll have time to create your own activities and explore ways to enhance classroom activities with formative assessment. The workshop will also cover the following:

  • Review of TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator capabilities.
  • Exploration of dynamic, interactive lessons with premade student questions and teacher notes.
  • Function investigation by creating a TI-Nspire™ Document with sliders.
  • Creation of assessment documents using TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software.
  • Additional coverage of the built-in graphs, data and statistics, and calculator applications, including basic computer algebra systems (CAS) functionality.
  • Mathematical modeling using interactive math boxes.
  • Opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ subject areas and needs.

  • TI-Nspire™ CX II CAS graphing calculator, TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software
