Workshop Overview

Once you have learned the basics, what is next? Come explore the next steps of using this powerful tool in your classroom. This workshop covers a variety of topics, including algebra I, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics.

Learn how the TI-84 Plus family of graphing calculators facilitates reasoning, sensemaking and understanding in an interactive mathematics classroom. You will learn how to implement activities to excite and engage students in high school mathematics. You’ll also have time to create your own activities and explore ways to enhance your students’ learning.

Topics will include:

  • Review of TI-84 Plus graphing calculator capabilities
  • Exploration of dynamic, interactive lessons with premade student questions and teacher notes
  • Discuss effective classroom practices involving the TI-SmartView™ CE Emulator Software for the TI-84 Plus graphing family
  • Coverage of the built-in graphs, data and statistics, and calculator features
  • Mathematical modeling and opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ subject areas and needs
