Solution 31372: TI-Nspire™ Family or TI-SmartView™ Family Software Activation Returns an Error C01 or C04.

How do I resolve errors C01 or C04 that occur during activation of a TI-Nspire or TI-SmartView family software?

Errors C01 and C04 can occur when the user account does not have sufficient permissions. Activation requires an account with Local Administrator permissions. To resolve these errors, you will need to activate the software from an account with Local Administrator access.

  • For personal computers, please contact your computer's manufacturer for support on changing user permission levels.
  • For computers managed by an IT department, please contact your Administrator to receive the appropriate permissions.

If you have obtained Local Administrator permissions and error persists, please gather diagnostic logs and contact TI for assistance.
