Solution 26091: Error [143] Given when Attempting to Activate TI-Nspire™ Family Software.

Why does the TI-Nspire family software give the following error when I attempt to activate it, "An error has occurred. Contact TI for assistance. [143]"?

If you receive the following error message when attempting to activate the TI-Nspire family software, it means you are currently logged on as a standard computer user. This can occur if an administrator previously installed the software, but either did not activate it or the activation failed.



To resolve this issue:

1) Log on to the computer using an account with administrative privileges and then activate or: 

2) Contact your computer or network administrator to activate the software.
