Solution 10640: Description of a Texas Instruments Reconditioned Product.

What is a reconditioned TI product?

Reconditioned calculators are units that have been returned to Texas Instruments, and have undergone a complete screening for functionality and cosmetics. All units are quality checked before they are accepted for use as reconditioned calculators. Units that are classified as reconditioned are marked with an " R " to distinguish them from new units.

Not all reconditioned units were previously owned. Many new units are reclassified as reconditioned because of packaging requirements. When TI is unable to repack units that were returned for scuffed/torn retail packaging, the units are reclassified as reconditioned. Reconditioned calculators are not sold as new product.
