Solution 22131: Copying Variables Names With the Copy and Paste Command on the TI-Nspire™ Family Products Returns Syntax Error.

Why do I get a syntax error when using the copy and paste command with named lists in Lists and Spreadsheets?

When using the copy and paste function to copy a formula from one cell to another with named lists, the copy and paste command will copy everything including the variable at the beginning. For example:

(variable)=(formula)

When copying and pasting into a new cell users will get a syntax error because the new formula will show the following:

(old variable)=(new variable)=(formula)

This will cause a syntax error since users are trying to define 1 variable as another. To remedy this, users can choose not to give the lists a variable name.  As a result, when using the copy and paste command a syntax error will not be yielded.
