Solution 11831: Correcting an Address Error on the TI-89 Family, TI-92 Family, and Voyage™ 200 Graphing Calculators.

How do I fix an Address Error on the TI-89 family, TI-92 family, and Voyage 200 graphing calculators?

Address Errors are caused by the use of 3rd party or shell operating systems that are not functional on a TI calculator. This is also related to the utilization of an address that is reserved for TI OS or TI Apps/programs only.

The instructions below will detail how to correct the Address Error on the TI-89 family, TI-92 family, and Voyage 200 calculators.

Please Note: The following procedures will completely reset the calculator. Please, bear in mind that this will erase the memory of the calculator and restore all manufacturer's defaults.

On the TI-89 family:

1) Hold down the following keys [2nd] [<] and [>] (right and left arrow keys).
2) Press [ON].
3) Release all the keys at the same time.
4) Adjust the contrast, if necessary.

On the TI-92 family and Voyage 200:

1) Press and hold [2ND].
2) Press and hold [LOCK] (the little hand).
3) While holding both, press [ON].
4) Adjust the contrast, if necessary.
