Activity Overview
In this activity, students will use the CellSheet Application and set up a spreadsheet. They will determine the mean of a set of values and find a minimum value to be added to a set of values to obtain a given mean.
Before the Activity
Set up the CellSheet on the calculator using the TI Connect™

During the Activity
Distribute the pages to your class.
Follow the Activity procedures:
Open the CellSheet Application on the calculator
Create a new CellSheet file
Enter the four test grades in the cells
Use the formula and calculate the average grade
Enter different test grades for the fifth test and determine the average grade
Identify the fifth test grade for which the average grade is a particular value
Create a new template to find the mean of six test grades
Use your new skill to solve more problems on the CellSheet Application
After the Activity
Students will complete the worksheet and answer questions.
Review student results:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
