Activity Overview
The purpose of this investigation is to:
Revise plotting points on the Cartesian plane
Use and understand aspect ratios
Improve estimation skills
Use a spreadsheet or a graphing calculator to draw a graph
Learn how to reflect lines and points in the x & y axis.
Before the Activity
Students should have access to either the TI-83 or TI-84 family of calculators.
During the Activity
Students will: Revise plotting points on the Cartesian plane, use and understand aspect ratios, improve estimation skills, use a spreadsheet or a graphing calculator to draw a graph, and learn how to reflect lines and points in the x & y axis.
After the Activity
Review student answers:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
