Students move a quadratic function in the coordinate plane to specific points to observe how the vertex form of the equation changes.
Students will move a parabola to different quadrants of the coordinate plane to determine patterns in the vertex form of the equation.
Next, students will make the parabola wider or narrower to observe how the equation changes.
Students will also find equations of parabolas that meet specific requirements.
