Texas Algebra 1 EOC Exam Strategies With the
This workshop is designed for Algebra 1 educators in Texas who are either beginning to use the TI-84 Plus CE or who want to learn more to drive student success on the Texas Algebra 1 EOC exam.
Educators will cover the key elements of teaching with the TI-84 Plus CE and TI-SmartView™ CE emulator software for the TI-84 Plus Family, and the workshop will focus on helping students use the TI-84 Plus CE to better understand key topics on the Texas Algebra 1 EOC exam.
By the end of the workshop, participants should feel comfortable with:
- Leveraging the TI-84 Plus CE for exam questions in key reporting categories, such as Number and Algebraic Methods; Describing and Graphing Linear Functions; and Writing and Solving Linear Equations and Inequalities
- Analyzing and solving a wide range of sample problems using graphs, tables and calculator tools
- Exploring premade activities that reinforce technology skills and deepen student understanding of key EOC exam topics
Overview
This in-person workshop is available in one- and two-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two-day workshop offers a more extensive exploration of topics and strategies. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.
