Connecting Science and Mathematics With TI-Nspire™ CX Technology

Designed for educators who are using TI-Nspire™ CX technology, this workshop focuses on integrating key science and mathematics concepts with the TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculator and TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software.

Explore simulations and data collection activities from Science Nspired and discuss integrating them into your classroom. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be comfortable using premade TI-Nspire™ Documents, possess basic skills with various probes and experiments, and understand the basics of TI-Nspire™ CX technology.

Overview

This in-person workshop is available in one-, two- and three-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two- and three-day workshops offer a more extensive exploration of topics. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.

workshop-1-day
  • Overview of the TI-Nspire™ CX handheld, including data collection with the Vernier EasyTemp® sensor and CBR™ 2 motion sensor.
  • Data analysis through the development of mathematical models.
  • Exploration of interactive simulations.
workshop-2-day
  • Additional coverage of simulations and data-collection labs with the TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculator.
  • Mathematical modeling involving linear, exponential, power and logarithmic functions.
  • Introduction to the capabilities of the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ System.
workshop-3-day
  • Deeper coverage of the TI-Nspire™ CX handheld, teacher software and online resources.
  • Emphasis on classroom applications across high school science and mathematics curricula.
  • Opportunities for differentiation based on educators’ subject areas and needs.
